David Halpern, MD, FACS

Dr. Halpern is a triple board certified plastic/hand/general surgeon who has over 25 years experience in complex peripheral nerve injuries, reconstruction and chronic nerve pain which may be amenable to surgical treatments. He uses the latest nerve grafting techniques, nerve reconstruction strategies and perform many different nerve decompression surgeries in upper and lower extremities to obtain the best clinical results possible when other providers have either given up or told the patients that “nothing is possible”. Dr. Halpern belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), American Society of Peripheral Nerve¬† (ASPN), the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons (FSPS), the Florida Medical Association and the Hillsborough County Medical Association. He is also the current Chief of Plastic Surgery at Tampa General Hospital and President Elect of the FSPS for 2022.
